How we engage our students and families at Laurel Springs

Travel Learning

Travel is one way we deliver important rites of passage that lead to personal growth. These signature events focus on areas of community service, service to the environment, service to history and civics, and service to self-actualization and leadership.

  • New York City - September 2024
  • Quebec City - October 2024
Laurel Springs extended-stay trips are designed for specific grade-level bands (grades 4-12) and planned in coordination with our travel partner, WorldStrides.

Field Trips

Our field trips are full-day, extensive in-person events where students, their families, peers, and staff, visit museums, enjoy cultural events, and more. Generally, the cost for regional field trips ranges from $80 to $120 per person which covers all activities and an event t-shirt for the memories. Students and their whole family are welcome to join!

Meet-Ups

Meet-ups are free partial-day, informal gatherings around the country that allow our online students to connect and have fun with one another in person. Most meet-ups directly follow a regional field trip, so families can easily make these into two-day excursions. Meet-ups help students meet grade-level peers and make long-lasting friendships. If a meet-up is in your area (or travel is feasible), bring the whole family to enjoy some Laurel Springs camaraderie!

Year-End Celebration

At the end of each traditional academic school year, Laurel Springs hosts an event for K - 12th graders. The event includes a virtual and in-person graduation ceremony for seniors, 8-11th grade team building events and field trips, prom and an alumni brunch.

These momentous occasions are held over a 3-day period known as the Annual Year-End Celebration, which features special events for our students and their families. Many students choose to travel from across the country and globe to attend!
